Fortrea is seeking an experienced

Contract & Budget Lead to support a key client across the EMEA region.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in clinical trial start-up by driving site contract and budget negotiations, building strong partnerships with study teams, and helping bring clinical research to patients faster.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Lead and oversee site budget and contract activities across assigned countries, ensuring timely execution and smooth study start-up.
  • Act as a key escalation point for complex budget and contract discussions, working closely with Study Start-Up, Clinical Operations, and Sponsor teams.
  • Negotiate and manage Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) and site budgets while maintaining adherence to company standards and fair market value principles.
  • Monitor timelines and proactively identify potential delays, implementing solutions to keep studies on track.
  • Support budget setup and country-level budget development for assigned studies.
  • Leverage industry tools, data, and market insights to drive informed budgeting and contracting decisions.
  • Contribute to process improvements and innovative ways of working that enhance service delivery and efficiency.
  • Help ensure sites are contractually and financially prepared to begin patient enrollment according to study timelines.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent international qualification).
  • 4+ years of experience in clinical trial site contracting and budgeting within a CRO, pharmaceutical company, or related healthcare industry environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience overseeing site budgeting and contracting activities.
  • Strong understanding of country- and site-level budgeting strategies and clinical trial contracting principles.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate data effectively to support informed decision-making.
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
