We are seeking a creative and user-focused Digital Learning Designer to design engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences. This role focuses on translating business and educational needs into high-quality digital learning solutions, leveraging modern instructional design principles and technologies. The ideal candidate brings hands-on UK experience, strong design thinking, and expertise in digital learning tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging digital learning experiences (e-learning, blended learning, microlearning)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define learning objectives
  • Create storyboards, scripts, and instructional design frameworks
  • Develop interactive content using modern e-learning authoring tools
  • Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to deliver effective learning solutions
  • Ensure content aligns with UK standards, accessibility guidelines, and compliance requirements
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness using data and feedback
  • Maintain and update existing learning materials and platforms

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in digital learning design within the UK
  • Strong experience with e-learning tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM/xAPI standards
  • Strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Mandatory Certification (at least one):

  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) / ATD Certification
  • Instructional Design Certification (e.g., IDOL, CIPD Learning & Development)
  • Adobe Certified Professional (relevant to digital learning tools)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms
  • Experience with multimedia tools (video editing, animation, graphic design)
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
  • Experience with data analytics for learning performance
