We are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst with 3 years of hands-on experience to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats across systems and networks. You will play a key role in protecting organisational assets, supporting incident response, and improving security posture through continuous monitoring and analysis. This role is ideal for professionals who have progressed beyond entry-level security roles and are comfortable working in operational security environments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and security tools
- Analyse and respond to security incidents and potential threats
- Conduct initial investigation and triage of security alerts
- Support incident response and remediation activities
- Assist with vulnerability management and patching processes
- Work with IT and infrastructure teams to apply security controls
- Support security policy implementation and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate incident reports and security documentation
- Participate in security assessments and reviews
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or SOC roles
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools and security monitoring
- Strong understanding of security principles and threat detection
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, DNS)
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments
- Familiarity with endpoint security and monitoring tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC)
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and remediation tools
- Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
- Security certifications (Security+, CEH, or equivalent)
