Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Junior Big Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining big data solutions, ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and ready for analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of big data pipelines.
• Process, cleanse, and validate large datasets from multiple sources.
• Support the maintenance and optimization of data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Monitor data workflows to ensure timely and accurate data availability.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in improving data quality.
• Document processes, workflows, and data pipelines for internal use.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or Kafka.
• Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts is a plus.
