We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Engineer with 3+ years of experience in the retail industry to manage sourcing, vendor evaluation, and procurement operations. The role involves ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing
- Identify and evaluate vendors and suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance
- Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, and purchase orders
- Negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings and favorable terms
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely supply
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost optimization opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams for smooth procurement planning
- Handle vendor relationship management and address any supply-related issues
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles (preferably in retail)
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor management
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar tools)
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of cost analysis and inventory management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
