We are seeking a creative and user-focused Digital Learning Designer to design engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences. This role focuses on translating business and educational needs into high-quality digital learning solutions, leveraging modern instructional design principles and technologies. The ideal candidate brings hands-on UK experience, strong design thinking, and expertise in digital learning tools and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging digital learning experiences (e-learning, blended learning, microlearning)
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define learning objectives
- Create storyboards, scripts, and instructional design frameworks
- Develop interactive content using modern e-learning authoring tools
- Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to deliver effective learning solutions
- Ensure content aligns with UK standards, accessibility guidelines, and compliance requirements
- Evaluate learning effectiveness using data and feedback
- Maintain and update existing learning materials and platforms
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in digital learning design within the UK
- Strong experience with e-learning tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar)
- Solid understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM/xAPI standards
- Strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Mandatory Certification (at least one): Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) / ATD Certification, Instructional Design Certification (e.g., IDOL, CIPD Learning & Development), Adobe Certified Professional (relevant to digital learning tools)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms
- Experience with multimedia tools (video editing, animation, graphic design)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
- Experience with data analytics for learning performance
