Our Head Office department is in the heart of Piccadilly and occupies the 5th & 6th floor of our beautiful flagship store. This central London location offers so much to explore including restaurants, bars, cultural sites, shopping and more, and only a short walk from the Green Park Tube Station and plenty of bus stops.

At Fortnum & Mason, we're embarking on a period of exciting transformation across our iconic Piccadilly flagship. We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead some of our most ambitious and high-profile projects, helping to create exceptional customer experiences while preserving the heritage, quality and innovation that define our brand. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of our business, delivering complex projects that span retail, hospitality, restaurants, kitchens, customer services and store environments. You'll bring together diverse teams, stakeholders and specialist partners to deliver projects that drive commercial growth, operational excellence and memorable customer experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead major flagship transformation projects, from initial planning through to implementation and benefits realisation.
  • Partner with senior leaders to define project objectives, requirements and measures of success.
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, budgets, timelines and governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Design, Property, Construction, Operations, Technology, Finance, Marketing, Buying & Merchandising and Supply Chain.
  • Act as the key point of contact for Executive Sponsors and senior stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure projects enhance customer journeys and strengthen the Fortnum & Mason proposition.
  • Work closely with Design and Property teams to deliver projects within a live retail and hospitality environment.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies and resources, ensuring issues are identified and resolved proactively.
  • Oversee project budgets and financial performance, supporting commercially sound decision-making.
  • Lead readiness planning, stakeholder engagement and change management activities to ensure successful adoption.
  • Measure project outcomes and benefits, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience delivering complex retail, hospitality, transformation or built-environment projects.
  • A proven track record of leading projects from concept and design through to implementation and operational handover.
  • Strong knowledge of design, property and construction project delivery, ideally within a RIBA-aligned environment.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership teams and external partners.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting and resource planning.
  • The ability to bring together multiple workstreams into one clear and effective delivery plan.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear business outcomes.
  • A customer-focused mindset and passion for delivering exceptional experiences.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within premium retail, luxury hospitality or customer-led environments.
  • Exposure to restaurants, bars, kitchens or food service operations.
  • A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, APM or equivalent.
