Catering Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our team at Café 181 on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week across 5 days out of 7, including weekends and a variety of shift patterns.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and delivering exceptional service to every guest.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Catering Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating an outstanding experience for our customers by:

• Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the restaurant, including replenishing tea, coffee, and other service essentials.
• Ensuring tables are prepared and maintained to our high standards of presentation and service.
• Delivering attentive, friendly, and efficient customer service.
• Responding professionally to customer feedback, issues, breakages, or spillages in line with our service standards.
• Communicating service-related matters effectively with managers and team members.
• Developing a strong knowledge of our food, beverage, and menu offerings.
• Serving food and beverages from the counter with confidence and enthusiasm.
• Supporting colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service throughout the day.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working within a hospitality, catering, retail, or customer service environment.
• Demonstrates a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Enjoys engaging with customers and can confidently talk about food and beverage offerings.
• Can work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is proactive, positive, and willing to go the extra mile for customers and colleagues.
• Can effectively prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
