Role Purpose: Oversee inventory and supply chain operations for the Grocery department to ensure strong product availability within stock limits. Monitor supplier compliance, completing statistical analysis on performance data, and collaborating with suppliers and the Buying team to improve results.
Reports to: Merchandiser- Grocery and Biscuits
Key Accountabilities:
- Daily use of Relex forecasting tool to ensure smooth flow of stock into store(s)
- Production of statistical analysis of previous sales, brands, price points (etc.) to propose generic range architecture of future range
- Check if the products proposed are commercially viable to range
- Expediting Orders
- Develop relationships with Suppliers / Depot / Shop Floor / Online team
- Complete understanding of Grade A and B lines (in terms of stock, orders, issues, pricing, promos etc)
- Maintain and report against KPIs (e.g. stock holding, weeks cover, availability, sales forecast accuracy)
Role Specific Criteria:
- Already have Supply Planner/Merchandiser experience
- Excellent knowledge of Grade A and B products
- Good relationship building with respective buying team and key stake holders
- KPI driven
- Good statistical analysis skills
- Organised in your processes and procedures
