A day in the life of an Assembly Operator involves manufacturing Fluke products in line with provided standard work procedures. Operators work in tandem, sharing the workload within a production cell to achieve optimum productivity. They play a vital role in suggesting and implementing improvements to Fluke manufacturing processes through the internal improvement business system (FBS).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Fully assemble, test, calibrate, inspect, and pack a range of instruments across multiple manufacturing cells as required by the business.
  • Adhere to defined processes in the assigned work area, including but not limited to Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, Safe Systems of Work, or Engineering Drawings.
  • Train fellow operatives on defined processes as requested by the relevant Production Team Leader.
  • Participate in the basic diagnosis and rework of Fluke products down to Assembly/Part level and escalate faults to Technicians/Team Leaders as required.
  • Suggest and/or implement process/product improvements using the FBS toolset to improve operating KPIs such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
  • Partake in the creation, review, and implementation of new procedures/work instructions, including suggesting improvements to currently issued procedures.

This role is suited to someone keen to provide the best quality product possible to Fluke's customers. It offers plenty of room for personal and professional development, such as cross-training in different production cells, developing into a team leader/management position, or into a technical calibration or manufacturing equipment technician role.

Your Team:

You will be part of a diverse, international team of approximately 40 people, who are well versed in the manufacture, test, and repair of Fluke equipment.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. High Voltage/Live working experience and soldering experience would be bonuses.

Personal Skills:

  • PC Literacy including Microsoft Office
  • A positive, can-do attitude
