The predicted salary is between 55000 - 65000 £ per year.

To provide leadership for the Quality and EHS Functions for the Norwich Site. Both responsible for the day-to-day management of Q‑EHS Engineers and indirect leadership and functional ownership of Q‑EHS across all employees on the Norwich site, including Manufacturing, Service & Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Create, deploy and enforce policies and procedures related to Quality and EHS, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
  • Own and manage the integrated management system for the Norwich site accreditations (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).
  • Accountable for external customer quality for the Norwich site, measured as the DPPM (Defective Parts Per Million) for all Norwich manufactured products, and use the FBS Toolset to drive measurable improvements in defect rates.
  • Investigate, resolve and close all Non‑Conformances (NCRs) for the Norwich site, including root‑cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
  • Facilitate training of team members in defined standard processes and ensure ongoing adherence to the standard.
  • Conduct performance management of the defined team, including performance appraisals, monthly 1:1 reviews, disciplinary investigations and hearings.
  • Develop the team through coaching, mentoring, and recommendations for external courses.
  • Recommend appropriate career band status changes and/or salary increases for team members and review/approve subordinate managers’ recommendations.
  • Manage team performance, drive improvement, and prioritize production support activities using the Daily Management process.
  • Participate in daily continuous improvement events (Kaizens) and other applicable improvement initiatives.
  • Attend required meetings, 1:1 reviews, and performance appraisal reviews as communicated by the management team.
  • Lead in Daily Management meetings to report results, drive problem solving, and manage business expectations.
  • Take an active role in developing the FBS depth and breadth of knowledge within the team.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Qualified.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build followership and engagement with the team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC literacy.
  • Prior lean production experience.
  • Ability to bridge communications between teams of different technical ability through understanding of key concepts and behaviours.
  • Sound judgement in difficult situations.

This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of the total compensation package.
