To support the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality and EHS Integrated Management system to meet and exceed requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 for the Norwich site.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for following, training and holding employees on site accountable for policies and procedures relating to Quality and EHS, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
- Runs and facilitates understanding of the integrated management system for the Norwich site accreditations, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
- Responsible for external customer quality for the Norwich site, measured as the DPPM (Defective Parts Per Million) for all Norwich manufactured products. Uses the FBS Toolset to drive measurable improvements in defect rates.
- Responsible for the investigation, resolution and closure of all Non-Conformances (NCR’s) for the Norwich site, including root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
- Trains/facilitates the training of team members to defined standard process and ensures ongoing adherence to the standard.
- Responsible for performance management of defined team, including but not limited to; performance appraisals, monthly 1:1 reviews, disciplinary investigations, disciplinary hearings.
- Responsible for the development of defined team, including but not limited to; Fluke/Fortive supplied training materials, recommendation of external courses, 1:1 coaching/mentoring, management coaching.
- To recommend appropriate career band status changes and/or salary increases for team members and reviewing/approving recommendations of subordinate managers.
- Uses the Daily Management process to manage team performance, drive improvement, focus and prioritise production support activities.
Additional Information:
- A portion of time will be spent attending required meetings, 1:1 reviews, and performance appraisal reviews as communicated by the management team. You are expected to take an active role in these events.
- The business will require you to actively participate/lead in continuous improvement events (Kaizens) or other applicable events which will be communicated to you from time to time.
- The business will require you to actively participate in Daily Management meetings to report out achieved results, drive problem solving and manage business expectations.
- Acts as an influencer and champion for the Q-EHS Function on site, without having direct management responsibility for all staff, so must act as an influential leader.
- Coaches other team members on site regarding Quality & EHS policies to ensure adherence to policies by the whole Norwich team.
Position Scope:
- Receives work assignments that are subject to a significant level of control and review.
- Responsible for results of defined functions, so must hold others, often peers, accountable to their deliverables relevant to these KPIs.
- Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.
- Frequent interaction with Fluke Norwich Site management.
- Ongoing interaction with Fluke worldwide teams to ensure co-operation and escalation of critical issues affecting the production area.
