As a result of company growth, our client has a requirement to hire a Supply Chain Manager, to join their senior leadership team. Reporting into the Commercial and Supply Chain Director, the role requires a hands‑on leader who combines procurement and supply chain expertise.
Main Duties
- Key advisor to the Commercial and Supply Chain Director and Senior Leadership team on all aspects of the supply chain.
- Develop, lead and manage the supplier and subcontractor pre‑qualification, audit and approval process, ensuring compliance with ISO 19443, ISO 9001 and all safety and quality standards and requirements embedded within the procurement and manufacturing oversight processes.
- Establish and maintain supply chain performance management systems and metrics for quality, delivery, cost and compliance.
- Implement and maintain supply chain assurance programmes, including surveillance, corrective action and continuous improvement tracking.
- Implement and monitor controls for Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Items (CFSI) prevention, detection, and reporting.
- Interface directly with client and licensee procurement/QA teams ensuring full alignment of supply chain standards, documentation and reporting.
- Support project delivery teams with strategic sourcing, supply chain capability mapping, and resolution of supply chain risks.
- Lead supply chain readiness reviews, including documentation for key hold points, manufacturing surveillance and lifetime records.
- Support procurement planning, ensuring early supply chain engagement and risk mitigation.
- Ensure supply chain compliance with all latest industry legislation, accreditation, requirements, and best practice.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional accreditation (CIPS, MCIPS, or similar) desirable.
- Proven track record of supply chain management in nuclear, defence or other highly regulated sectors.
- Experience leading teams in high‑integrity project environments.
- Strong engagement skills.
