We are currently seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our client on a major Data Centre construction project in the Docklands area of East London.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile, technically complex project, supporting the delivery team in maintaining the highest standards of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality across site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day SHEQ support and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.
- Monitor site compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations.
- Review and support Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS) and permit systems.
- Lead investigations into incidents, near misses and non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Support client SHEQ requirements and reporting processes.
- Drive a positive safety culture throughout the project.
- Liaise with site management, contractors and stakeholders to ensure best practice is maintained.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure environments.
- NRSWA / Street Works knowledge or qualifications.
- Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and their practical application on major projects.
- Experience overseeing road excavations, street works and utility-related activities.
- Sound understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently within a fast-paced project environment.
Desirable:
- Previous Data Centre project experience.
- Experience working with principal contractors on major infrastructure or M&E schemes.
- Environmental and quality management experience.
