An exciting role has arisen for a Commercial Manager. This position offers the chance to lead a commercial team, manage multiple contracts, and provide strategic commercial advice. Your Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the Commercial Team ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Oversee NEC3/4 and bespoke contract management of multiple contracts.
- Identify and notify Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
- Manage supply chain contracts and agreements.
- Provide cash forecasts and take responsibility for cash flow forecasting.
- Create and manage CVRs.
- Establish and manage monthly project reviews.
- Ensure projects are executed in line with the financial plan and contracts.
- Manage the dispute and defects process with Clients and Subcontractors.
- Oversee invoicing and manage overdue applications or debts.
- Approve quotations and ensure contract orders are in place.
- Prepare BoQ, measurements, and valuations of works for applications, variations, and final accounts with Clients.
- Maintain control of Subcontractor’s accounts and minimise the cost of any variations.
- Develop a monthly senior project review process with the Senior Commercial Manager.
- Aid with the pre-tender review process.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Significant experience in managing the commercial performance of projects.
- Well-developed understanding of various forms of contract, particularly NEC3/4.
- Proven record in team management.
- Experience with Civil Engineering and Construction projects.
- Experience in managing volume-based projects.
