Role Summary: The Group Financial Accountant will support the Group Reporting Manager and Group Financial Controller in delivering timely, accurate and high-quality financial reporting across the Group. The role will assist with monthly consolidations, statutory reporting, audit management and the ongoing enhancement of financial controls and reporting processes within a fast-paced, acquisitive SaaS business. This role is ideally suited to a newly qualified accountant making their first or second move from practice into industry, with strong technical foundations and an interest in group reporting, consolidations and IFRS. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure across an international, private equity-backed organisation, including multi-currency reporting, acquisition integration and technical accounting, while working closely with senior finance leadership across the Group.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of monthly Group consolidations under IFRS, including multi-currency reporting and intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist with the monthly close process and preparation of management and investor reporting.
- Support accounting and reporting for Group holding companies, including bank and covenant reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Support the external audit process and assist with tax and VAT reporting requirements.
- Assist regional finance teams with reporting submissions and technical queries.
- Support the development and improvement of Group finance controls, policies and reporting processes.
- Assist with acquisition accounting, integration activities and chart of accounts management following acquisitions.
- Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis and project support to the Group Reporting Manager and Group Financial Controller.
Candidate Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a practice-trained background.
- Recent experience within an external audit role, ideally with a Top 20 accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP, with exposure to group reporting and consolidations.
- Experience auditing multi-entity groups and reviewing consolidated financial statements.
- Strong Excel skills and confident working with financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across international finance teams.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to support a fast-paced and growing business.
- NetSuite experience advantageous but not essential.
