Fortius Clinic are expanding their Scrub team. We are hiring a full-time permanent Scrub Nurse to join us in London, working on average 37.5 hours per week (162.5 hours per month). The Surgical Centre is based in Marylebone, London. Work flexibly Monday – Saturday across theatre sites. Start as early as 07:00 or finish as late as 22:00.
Purpose of Job
The purpose of the Scrub Nurse role is to provide high-quality, safe, and compassionate perioperative care, with a focus on orthopaedic and spinal procedures within a private surgical setting.
The post-holder supports the entire surgical pathway while maintaining clinical excellence, adhering to regulatory and professional standards, and contributing to the smooth running of the operating theatre through collaboration, leadership, and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative care with a focus on orthopaedic and spinal procedures.
- Support the entire surgical pathway while maintaining clinical excellence and adhering to regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the operating theatre through collaboration, leadership, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active NMC/ HCPC registration.
- Educated to degree level with considerable further professional development.
- ILS Qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in operating theatre setting with specific orthopaedic and spinal scrub skills.
- Strong organisational and communications skills.
- Demonstrable experience of driving growth.
- Proven ability to lead a multi-functional team.
- Mentorship/Practice Assessor.
- Evidence of clinical reasoning skills across a varied patient case mix.
- Effective communicator with the ability to build professional relationships.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
Ideal:
- Qualified Surgical First Assist.
- Experience of tight budgetary management including Profit and Loss accountability.
- ALS Qualification.
