We are currently looking for Pre Op Assessment Nurses to work 4-5 shifts per week as a Bank worker.

This is to help cover annual leave and sickness across the department.

  • Registered Nurse with a current active NMC PIN
  • A minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in Hospital/ NHS
  • At least 1 years experience within Pre Op Assessment.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Relevant orthopaedic experience
  • Good IT skills and ability to use clinical data systems
  • Basic understanding of patient care issues in day surgery.
  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of NMC professional code of conduct and its application.
  • Understanding of fundamentals of nursing care and ability to deliver a high standard of individualised care.
  • Up to date clinical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and some experience of managing a small team.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage own workload.
