Fortius Clinic are expanding their Scrub team. We are hiring a full-time permanent Senior Scrub Nurse in London. This position works on average 37.5 hours per week (162.5 hours per month) in a Surgical Centre based in Marylebone, London. The salary is up to £51,000, depending on experience. Work flexibly Monday to Saturday across our theatre sites. Start as early as 07:00 or finish as late as 22:00.
Responsibilities
This position supports both clinical and managerial functions, ensuring surgical procedures are well-coordinated, staff are adequately trained and supported, and all practices align with current clinical standards, hospital policies, and patient safety protocols. The role is integral in maintaining theatre efficiency, supporting the surgical team, and contributing to the continuous improvement of care and service delivery.

Requirements
- Active NMC/HCPC registration.
- Qualified Surgical First Assist (or willingness to study when hired).
- Educated to degree level with considerable further professional development.
- ILS Qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years post qualification experience in operating theatre setting with specific orthopaedic and spinal scrub skills.
- Strong organisational and communications skills.
- Demonstrable experience of driving growth.
- Proven ability to lead a multi-functional team.
- Mentorship/Practice Assessor.
- Evidence of clinical reasoning skills across a varied patient case mix.
- Effective communicator with the ability to build professional relationships.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
Ideal
- Experience of tight budgetary management including Profit and Loss accountability.
- ALS Qualification.
