An established multidisciplinary construction consultancy, with a strong presence across England, is looking to appoint an Associate Director – Cost Manager to lead the establishment and growth of its Cost Management team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded Cost Management professional to take ownership of a growing service line, develop a team and play a key role in the continued expansion of the consultancy's London presence.
You will have the opportunity to shape the department, influence its strategic direction and work closely with colleagues across the wider business to deliver high-quality services to an established and growing client base.
The Role
As Associate Director, you will take a lead role in developing and growing the London Cost Management offering.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the establishment and development of a new Cost Management team in London.
- Driving the growth and strategic direction of the Cost Management service.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Leading and overseeing cost management and quantity surveying services across a range of projects.
- Providing commercial leadership, advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
- Supporting business development, fee proposals and client presentations.
- Recruiting, mentoring and developing talented Cost Management professionals.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the wider multidisciplinary consultancy.
About You
We are keen to speak with experienced Cost Management professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career and embrace a leadership opportunity.
You will ideally bring:
- Significant experience within a UK construction consultancy.
- A strong background in Quantity Surveying and Cost Management.
- Experience operating at Associate level, or the ambition and capability to step up.
- A proven ability to manage client relationships and develop business opportunities.
- Strong commercial awareness and technical knowledge across the construction sector.
- Experience leading, mentoring or developing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
- MRICS or working towards.
