Due to growth and new contracts, my electrical client is looking to recruit a field based Electrical Installation Engineer on a full time, permanent basis. Ideally, candidates will be based in the North London or South Hertfordshire area and will be required to cover the London area and 2 hours north of London. Candidates based near Watford, Enfield, Barnet will be ideal for my client.
The Installation Engineer will be a qualified electrician who is a team player and looking to progress in an installation-based role. You will be expected to carry out Surveys, Installations and Service visits in commercial premises across the UK to a high standard and complying with Health & Safety regulations. Typical premises will be hotels & restaurants and installations will be within kitchen environments. Full product specific training will be given to install my clients products - typical products are ventilation and extraction equipment.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Work closely with the existing engineers to gain training & experience.
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within KPI.
- Jobs will be a mixture of Installations/Surveys/PPMβS/Callouts & Handovers.
- Takes responsibility for planning and organising own work and use own initiative where appropriate.
- Complete customer handovers & demonstrations.
- Requirement to stay overnight (paid for by company) on average one night per week.
- BS7671 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations.
- NVQ level 2 or 3, City & Guilds 2391 (desirable).
- Understanding of UK Geography.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experienced in HVAC/BMS Systems.
- Experienced in a field based / mobile role.
- Overtime after 40 hours at 1.5 x.
- Flexible working - once 40 hours completed (Monday to Thursday) then employees can have the Friday off due to completing 40 hours.
- Employees paid from leaving their homes until they arrive home.
- Overtime readily available (typically 5-10 hours per week).
- Company van and laptop supplied.
- The role covers 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with additional hours being overtime at 1.5x the basic rate.
- There will be the need for overnight stays when required, typically once a week (fully paid for).
