As the Senior or Principal Water Engineer, you will have UK based experience in the water industry working on high profile infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership & Project Management: Oversee and deliver complex detailed design projects within the UK water industry. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Take responsibility for project planning, resource allocation, and delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Engineering Management & Team Development: Develop leadership and management skills to transition into an Engineering Manager role. Support the growth of a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence. Contribute to strategic decision-making, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with key clients, understanding their needs and delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Lead client meetings and presentations, strengthening long-term relationships. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, structural engineers, and environmental specialists.

Qualifications & Experience

  • UK-based experience is essential, with 5+ years of experience in civil engineering within the UK water industry.
  • Strong background in detailed design, including trunk mains, distribution mains, and production site civils.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, structural analysis tools).
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively working towards it (ICE or similar).
  • Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.
