My client, a growing manufacturing company based in Slough, are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Operative on a full time, permanent basis. This is a varied role, working for a company who value their staff and offer a fantastic working environment. The role involves a variety of manufacturing/production, assembly, and goods-handling tasks and would suit candidates who have some kind of manufacturing background and are happy in a varied role. Generally, the role would be split approximately 50/50 between manufacturing/production and warehouse duties but may vary depending on company requirements.
Main duties:
- Warehouse:
- Receiving goods and conducting visual and basic dimensional inspections.
- Processing documentation within the ERP system.
- Completing all paperwork required to maintain product traceability.
- Packing products for shipment to customers and subcontract service providers.
- Preparing shipping documentation and associated records.
- Loading and unloading rumbling machines.
- Performing routine maintenance on rumbling machines (e.g., changing water, media, etc.).
- Loading and unloading wash plant equipment.
- Applying caps to protect fittings.
- Pinning components together.
- Performing light manufacturing tasks, such as manual bending of tube components.
Person Specification:
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage workload and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Reliable and consistent, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Adaptable, able to switch between various production and assembly tasks throughout the day or week.
- Team-oriented, yet comfortable working independently when required.
- Physically able to carry out manual tasks such as loading, unloading, and light assembly work.
- Solid work history.
Hours of work are 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch. 37.5 hours per week. An attractive salary of £29-33k (£14.87-16.92) is on offer for the right candidate. Please send your CV for immediate consideration.
