Due to a full order book and increased growth, my client, a leading engineering company based close to Basingstoke, is looking to recruit a Manufacturing Finisher / De-burrer on an ongoing temporary basis. This may become a permanent role after a period of time, typically 4-6 months. The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of engineering or manufacturing and have good hand work and attention to detail. The work is generally light in nature.
Duties:
- Use hand tools to smooth, polish, and finish manufactured parts.
- Operate rumble machines.
- Support the CNC operations – De-burring / Honing / Shot blasting.
- Inspect components for defects or imperfections and perform necessary corrections.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure tools are properly stored after use.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing / assembly / engineering is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of mechanical processes and familiarity with hand tools and basic assembly techniques is advantageous.
- Experience working with assembly lines or in a similar role will be highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity are essential for success in this position.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop their technical skills within a supportive manufacturing setting, contributing to high-quality production outcomes through meticulous finishing work. Hours of work are 08.00 – 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.00 – 13.00 on Friday covering 39 hours per week. A competitive hourly rate of £12.71 - £13.00 is on offer for the right candidates.
