My client, a leading manufacturing company based in Basingstoke is looking to recruit an Electro-Mechanical Assembler on a full time, temp-perm basis (over a 12 week period). After the 12 weeks, the role will become permanent. Candidates must have a background within Assembly (Mechanical or Electrical) and be used to working with small scale components. The role involves assembly, service and repair of electrical/mechanical components and sub-assemblies on a small scale.

Main duties:

  • Assembly electrical/mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics using drawings and work instructions.
  • Self-inspection and testing.
  • Final inspection of finished goods with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Pick parts and kits required to carry out tasks.
  • Determination of service level required and to undertake service as per agreed schedule(s).
  • Determination of repairs required and to undertake as per the return request.
  • Acquisition of spare parts as required for repair technicians.
  • Creation of requests to return product to customer, stock, service stock or for scrap.
  • Liaise with NPD in the development of new products for Assembly, Service and Repairs requirements.

Experience:

  • Have assembly experience (ideally mechanical).
  • Have good attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions / drawings.
  • Able to use manual hand tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage own workflow.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 07.30 – 16.30 and 07.30 – 12.30 on Fridays covering a total of 39 hours per week. Hourly rate of £13.93 per hour is on offer for the right candidate after a successful interview. Please submit your CV today for immediate consideration and interview.
