Fortis Recruitment solutions are working with a client in the construction to recruit a technical sales manager to join their team. They are based in the Reading / Maidenhead / High Wycombe area although this position will require some travel. The technical sales manager will be responsible for managing and growing strategically important accounts. The position blends technical specification work, early design engagement, commercial development and account management. This role will involve working closely with precast manufacturers, engineers, architects and design teams to secure early stage specifications. You will also influence product selection, provide technical guidance and drive revenue growth across the precast product portfolio.

We are looking for at least 3 years experience in the precast, structural or general construction industry. You will have been in a technical-commercial role and have knowledge of precast systems, fixings or cast-in channels. Any existing relationships with precast manufacturers would be an advantage. Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple live projects.

  • Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and precast drawings.
  • Understanding of load paths, fixings, and typical precast buildups.
  • Competent in Autodesk viewing tools, MS Office and ERP/CRM platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commercial awareness and problem-solving capability.
