Machine Operator Fortis Recruitment are working with a leading aerospace company in Slough to recruit a machine operator to join their team. This is a Monday to Friday role working day shifts, there is generally overtime available during the week and sometimes on Saturdays which is paid at an enhanced rate. The successful candidate will have a technical engineering background, ideally you will have done CNC operating, technical assembly from complex drawings or done a vocational engineering qualification. We are looking for candidates that will be able to develop from operating machines to setting and eventually programming them – all training will be provided to develop in the role. Role responsibilities * Read and interpret Job cards/techniques and diagrams to select, position and machine products according to the relevant specification * Set up and operate machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines * Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion * Housekeeping and General Safety awareness Role requirements * Engineering and/or technical awareness * Knowledge of production procedures * Good Communication Skills verbally and written * Attention to detail * Team player This role gives you the chance to join a company who want to support you in developing your engineering skills and reward you as your skill set expands.
