Manufacturing Technician / Machine Operator

Basingstoke

Job Type

Temp‑perm (typically 3 months temporary, then permanent)

Hours

Daily shifts of 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00, rotating weekly.

Salary

£16.52 per hour (≈ £32,214 per annum)

Responsibilities

  • Laying up & cutting raw materials.
  • Operating process machines to produce moulded products.
  • Working to drawings and work instructions.
  • Machining components and adjusting timings as per instructions.
  • Setting up, preparing, loading, operating, unloading, and finishing tools.
  • Manufacturing products involving moulding, bonding, and assembly processes.
  • Self‑inspection and quality checking of products, including trimming where required.
  • Testing and line‑inspection of components, overall quality inspection.
  • Completing necessary paperwork related to the product.

Requirements

  • Background in engineering or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with general engineering practices, machinery and measuring equipment.
  • Immediate availability or within one week of offer.
  • Ability to rotate between two daily shifts.
