We are looking for a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join our clients residential and land development team. My client is an employee-owned business putting each and every employee at the forefront of what they do. You succeed as the business does. This is reflected on tax free bonuses being given!
You will be involved in the design and delivery of residential subdivisions and housing developments, working closely with planners, architects, local authorities, and developers to bring projects from concept through to construction. This role suits someone with hands-on residential experience who enjoys seeing projects progress from early design to completed communities.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver civil infrastructure for residential developments and subdivisions
- Prepare earthworks, road, drainage, sewer, and water designs
- Produce technical drawings, reports, and design calculations
- Manage council approvals and respond to authority comments
- Coordinate with surveyors, planners, architects, and contractors
- Support construction phase services and resolve site-related issues
- For senior-level candidates: lead designs, mentor junior engineers, and manage client relationships
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in residential or land development projects
- Strong understanding of subdivision design, local authority standards, and approval processes
- Proficiency with civil design software (e.g. Civil 3D or similar)
- Good communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Chartered or working towards chartership (desirable for senior roles)
- A strong pipeline of residential and mixed-use projects
