The Role

As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining high-quality technical drawings and design documentation for a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and practical design solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality 2D and 3D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Develop technical drawings in line with project requirements, client specifications, and industry standards.
  • Support engineers by translating engineering concepts into accurate design documentation.
  • Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate designs across civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in design reviews and identify clashes or opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with drawing updates throughout project delivery.
  • Support site surveys and asset verification when required.
  • Contribute to improving drawing standards, templates, and design processes.
  • Continue developing technical knowledge and software skills.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A qualification in CAD, Engineering, Design, Construction, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong experience using AutoCAD.
  • Experience producing detailed engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to interpret engineering information accurately.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Desirable:
