Role Overview
My client, a leading manufacturing company based in Basingstoke, is looking to recruit an Electro-Mechanical Assembler on a full‑time temp‑perm basis (over a 12‑week period).
After the 12 weeks, the role will become permanent.
Responsibilities
- Assembly of electrical/mechanical components, including pneumatics and hydraulics, using drawings and work instructions.
- Self‑inspection and testing.
- Final inspection of finished goods with a strong commitment to quality.
- Pick parts and kits required to carry out tasks.
- Determine service level required and undertake service as per agreed schedule(s).
- Determine repairs required and undertake as per the return request.
- Acquire spare parts as required for repair technicians.
- Create requests to return product to customer, stock, service stock or for scrap.
- Liaise with NPD in the development of new products for Assembly, Service and Repairs requirements.
Experience and Skills
- Assembly experience (ideally mechanical).
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions / drawings.
- Ability to use manual hand tools.
- Ability to prioritize and manage own workflow.
- Working Hours
Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:30 and Friday 07:30 – 12:30, covering a total of 39 hours per week.
Rate
Hourly rate of £13.93 per hour is on offer for the right candidate after a successful interview.
