We are currently recruiting for a CNC setter operator on a permanent basis for a client based in Wokingham. Ideally, candidates will have experience with CNC Milling (3 axis) and be open to being trained on special purpose 5 axis CNC machinery. However, candidates are welcome to apply that have a general CNC background and looking to progress their career. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking for progression and ongoing training/support. Full training would be provided so this is an excellent opportunity to expand your engineering knowledge and experience working within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Time served apprenticeship ideally or required work experience (3 years machining).
  • Have a minimum three years CNC machining experience.
  • Must be able to use all inspection equipment and read engineers drawings.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Be able to maintain product specifications.
  • Inspect all products produced, utilising the correct measuring devices.
  • Ability to make machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor product quality while manufacturing.
  • Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose problems.
  • Full knowledge of all tooling required, routine maintenance, and lubrication of all machinery.

Hours of work are: Nightshift (22.00 - 06.00) Monday to Friday nights covering 37.5 hours per week, salary starting from £46,000 per annum. My client has an excellent training program which will see candidates gain a £10k increase in salary within 3 years and develop themselves as engineers (with annual increases, this would be more but based on today's salary figures).
