We are currently recruiting for a CNC setter operator on a permanent basis for a client based in Fradley. Ideally, candidates will have experience with CNC Milling (3 axis) and be open to being trained on special purpose 5 axis CNC machinery (Tool & Cutter Grinding). However, candidates are welcome to apply that have a general CNC background and looking to progress their career. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking for progression and ongoing training/support.

Initial training will take place at my client’s site (in Berkshire) for approximately 2 months, with all accommodation and travel expenses covered by the company. Following this period, the role will be permanently based at the new facility in Fradley, Staffordshire. Full training would be provided so this is an excellent opportunity to expand your engineering knowledge and experience working within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Time served apprenticeship ideally or required work experience (3 years machining).
  • 4 years of 3 axis CNC machining or 2 years of 5 axis CNC machining.
  • Must be able to use all inspection equipment and read engineers drawings.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Be able to maintain product specifications.
  • Inspect all products produced, utilising the correct measuring devices.
  • Ability to make machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor product quality while manufacturing.
  • Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose problems.
  • Full knowledge of all tooling required, routine maintenance, and lubrication of all machinery.

4 days per week, Monday to Thursday, hours of work are:
