This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on Quality Engineer role within a highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environment, where attention to detail isn’t optional — it’s mission-critical. You’ll be at the heart of the operation, working closely with engineering, production, suppliers and customers to ensure products meet the highest quality and airworthiness standards. If you enjoy understanding processes end-to-end, spotting where things can be better, and helping teams get things right first time, you’ll thrive here.
The Role — What You’ll Be Trusted With
You’ll support and strengthen the Quality Management System, making sure processes are effective, compliant and understood across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of internal and customer quality requirements
- Escalating quality or airworthiness risks clearly and confidently to management
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T, identifying key characteristics
- Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and production with quality planning
- Managing customer and regulatory portals (e.g. customer systems, audit platforms)
- Conducting internal audits and supporting supplier audits, including closure of non-conformances
- Carrying out capability studies using statistical techniques and measurement equipment
- Supporting continuous improvement activities aligned to business KPIs
- Leading root cause analysis using structured quality tools and statistical methods
- Supporting mandatory training and maintaining quality registers and records
- Completing AS9102 FAIRs and UK CAA Form 1 documentation
This is a role where quality engineering meets real-world manufacturing.
The Kind of Person Who Does Well Here
You’re likely to enjoy this role if you:
- Care deeply about doing things properly — and getting them right first time
- Like understanding both product and process, not just paperwork
- Are confident challenging issues that affect quality or airworthiness
- Enjoy working with people across different functions
- Take pride in accuracy, traceability and clear documentation
What You’ll Bring
Desirable experience and qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role
- Qualification in Quality or Engineering (e.g. C&G 743, IAQA Level 4, ONC/HNC, or similar)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 (AS9100 or equivalent highly desirable)
- Confident use of Microsoft Office tools
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
