We are seeking a dedicated and technically adept Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our team in the plastic thermoforming industry. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met, provide technical guidance on thermoforming processes, and be the primary point of contact for all customer-facing technical sales matters. This role requires a blend of technical sales expertise and strong communication skills to build lasting customer relationships and deliver solutions that meet both customer requirements and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key accounts, addressing customer enquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions throughout the lifecycle of the product.
  • Business Development: Build and develop new sales opportunities generated through company marketing activities and where appropriate via own initiative.
  • Process Optimisation: Provide technical guidance to clients on optimising thermoforming processes, including material selection, tooling design, and production techniques.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with customers and internal teams to assist in the development and design of new thermoformed products, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues related to thermoforming, such as material performance and process limitations.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team in generating proposals, estimates and quotations for clients, ensuring that technical aspects of the project are thoroughly addressed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Technical team, manufacturing, and quality control teams to ensure the technical requirements are fully understood and integrated into production.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical account management or engineering role, ideally within the plastic thermoforming industry or a closely related field.
