As a Sr. QA Engineer, you’ll own and design test automation and efficiency tools for our QA and Product teams. You’ll partner with our QA and Development leaders to identify the best opportunities and technology for our project, keeping all partners updated on your progress. You’ll own defining the team’s framework and toolkits while instrumenting various tests to support faster awareness and coverage across our build pipelines, performance targets, and in-game functional actions, just to name a few. In many cases, you’ll look to lead a group of engineers tasked with tackling larger project demands.

What you’ll achieve:

  • Define the architecture for the project’s test framework, partnering with QA and Dev leaders to define ongoing requirements.
  • Build a suite of solutions that provide ongoing status of our development efforts while providing test coverage and/or manual augmentation.
  • Develop efficient solutions for the QA and development operations that help us all move faster and with confidence.
  • Apply best programming practices for your team, ensuring code is optimized for performance and scalability across various platforms and devices.
  • Define solutions and patterns that serve as best practices for Game QA automation efforts.
  • Be part of the team defining the overall Fortis QA advanced test strategy for all projects.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

  • Experience with programming languages such as C# or Python.
  • Experience in building or extending automation frameworks, custom or with Unity.
  • Knowledge of Unity and Unity tooling specifically for game development.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services, including S3, EC2, and experience with messaging services.
  • Experience working with CI/CD workflows and platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple teams, identifying project requirements and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Leadership skills to provide direction and mentoring for junior engineers.
  • Experience in test or development of test solutions.
