About The Role
As a Senior Research Analyst in our Early Market Validation team at Fortis, your work will directly influence the direction of our game development, helping us to not only meet but exceed the expectations of the gaming community as we prepare to launch our very first titles. Your focus will be on conducting and presenting comprehensive research to understand our target audiences, their preferences, and expectations from gaming experiences. You’ll be paired up with a Research Manager and together work on a specific set of games, so you’ll get to grow as the product continues to evolve and see the impact of your work.
What You Will Achieve
- Collaborate closely with Research Managers to plan and execute consumer insights and user research initiatives for mobile games.
- Implement research plans by coordinating with vendors, cross‑functional teams, and other stakeholders.
- Manage and conduct research and usability projects utilizing online tools such as Playtestcloud & Survey Providers.
- Support end‑to‑end research projects, utilizing a range of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to address stakeholder inquiries.
- Create and develop survey and research briefs.
- Perform data analysis and effectively present research findings evaluating the potential appeal of game concepts, art styles, and overall market feasibility.
- Act as the advocate for player perspectives in regular product meetings, championing the importance of player research.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
- Passionate about gaming with relevant experience in the interactive entertainment or gaming industry.
- Skilled in mixed models, with a focus on consumer research that informs decision‑making, driving actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, adept in storytelling and presentations to convey research insights effectively.
- Proficient in quantitative and qualitative research methods, with exceptional survey design skills.
- Experience with user research tools (e.g., usertesting.com, playtestcloud.com) is a plus.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, G‑suite, and familiar with data visualization tools like Looker.
- Knowledge of data manipulation and statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, or similar).
- Degree in psychology, HCI, social sciences, or a related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English.
