We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer specialising in high‑voltage substation commissioning (132–400 kV) to support field‑based energisation and testing activities on major energy projects.
Key Responsibilities- Commission HV substation equipment (132–400 kV), including transformers, breakers, CTs/VTs, and protection systems
- Carry out FAT/SAT, functional testing, insulation, earthing, and protection testing
- Support energisation and end‑to‑end commissioning activities
- Review and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and test documentation
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with HSE and technical standards
- Diagnose and resolve commissioning issues on site
- 5+ years’ experience in HV substation commissioning (132–400 kV)
- Strong hands‑on background in primary and/or secondary plant testing
- Experience with protection relay testing and HV systems
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and test results
- Knowledge of HV safety standards and commissioning procedures
- Strong site‑based problem‑solving and coordination skills
