We are currently recruiting for a Quarry Operative to join our team at our Redhurst Quarry in Essington, Wolverhampton.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a 360º Excavator blending clays from stockpile faces and moving materials as directed.
  • Operate a wheeled front end loader, loading materials into lorries for delivery to the factories, ensuring that high‑quality raw material of the appropriate consistency is sent to the factory.
  • Operate a wheeled tractor with attachments such as: water bowser, brush, loading forks, front end loading bucket, salt/grit spreader.
  • Operate weighbridge and water treatment plant.
  • Check and maintain plant and equipment, ensuring highest standards of housekeeping and environmental management.
  • Inspect and maintain areas in accordance with local Health & Safety standards and Standard Safe Operating Procedures.
  • Deliver through TPM plant improvement initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in development of SSOPs and Risk Assessments.
  • Complete appropriate quality assessments.

  • Good communication skills.
  • High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
