We are heading up a recruitment drive for a global consultancy that require a SC Cleared Network Engineer to join them on a major government project that's based in Barrow-in-Furness.
Role Description:
Who you'll be working with:
You will be working on a client site, in collaboration with Capgemini and Client Project Managers, SMEs and Architects to deliver projects on time and above customer expectation. You will be working closely with support teams and other functions to ensure seamless integration of project work to the Run service.
The focus of your role:
- Undertaking a range of equipment installations and configuration activities for complex or high business impact solutions.
- Performing infrastructure surveys, wired and wireless.
- Get involved in office moves, adds, changes.
- Perform technical refresh of network hardware and cabling.
- Configuring core infrastructure components e.g. Switches, Routers, Firewalls, load balancers, voice systems etc.
- Performing impact assessments on large or complex networks.
- Performing testing to pre-determined plans and analyse results.
What you will bring:
Expected to have undertaken other Network Engineering roles for at least 5 years.
