We are heading up a recruitment drive for a global consultancy that require an Android Developer to join them on a major banking project based in Manchester.

Role Description:

  • 4+ years of experience in developing Android applications.
  • Java/Kotlin Proficiency: Strong command of Kotlin programming languages for Android development with Jetpack Compose.
  • Android SDK: Deep understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio for developing mobile applications.
  • UI/UX Design: Ability to design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces following Android design guidelines.
  • API Integration: Experience in integrating RESTful APIs and handling data in mobile applications.
  • Testing and Debugging: Expertise in using tools like Espresso, JUnit, and Android Debug Bridge (ADB) for testing and debugging Android apps.
  • Good understanding of security standards and best practices.
  • Experienced in software development life cycle releases.
  • Experience in Bitbucket, GitLab.
  • Skills in managing multiple projects at once and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Assisting with systems integrations.
  • Flexible to learn new technology to provide application support.
  • Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures.
  • Managing coordination at a local and international level where required.
  • Delivering regular and customised training to teams.
