To carry out a range of routine tasks and processes in line with operating procedures to ensure products or materials meet the required standards and business needs.
Hours: Day shift 0600-1400/1400-2200 hours Monday to Friday (rotating weekly)
Night shift 2200 – 0600
(Flexibility outside of these hours required to meet business demands)
Reporting to: Shift Supervisor
Role Summary:
To carry out a range of routine tasks and processes in line with operating procedures to ensure products or materials meet the required standards and business needs.
- Check products and materials against the required quality standards to ensure they meet specifications.
- Process and pack products to meet the business needs and standards.
- Complete any necessary records as required so that production can be monitored, and any action taken.
- Report any faults so that they can be rectified quickly and keep downtime to a minimum.
- Operate any equipment and processes in which you are trained to use, adhering to operating procedures in order to achieve product specification and meet targets.
- Check and monitor processes, making recommendations for any adjustments necessary to achieve product and process specification.
- Carry out cleaning and hygiene tasks within the work area so that health and safety standards are maintained, and we meet all hygiene requirements.
- Help solve problems and make suggestions for improvements, so that better ways of doing tasks are identified and implemented.
- Communicate and co-operate with other people in order to achieve department and organisational goals.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
Person Specification
Experience & Knowledge:
Working knowledge of a factory and food environment. Knowledge of food safety. Basic understanding of the Company goals.
Skills & Personal Attributes
Good numeracy and literary. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Ability to work constructively with others and on own initiative where required. Ability to prioritise and manage own time effectively. Must be trustworthy, reliable, and punctual. Having a sense of responsibility for your own actions.
