Based at Falkirk Campus
Fixed term to October 2025
The Department of Care, Sport, Business and Communities wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Lecturer of Administration and Information Technology to work with learners across SCQF levels 4 to 8.
You will produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and deliver excellent teaching to a range of learners. You will work with the Admin and IT teaching team to develop new approaches to teaching, making use of learning technologies while ensuring that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date. You will contribute to the development of provision and enhance students' learning by providing specialist subject support.
Preferably educated to degree level and holding a recognised Teaching Qualification, although experience and enthusiasm will be considered. You will have a strong learner focus and a can-do attitude.
You will be an enthusiastic and effective team player, good at problem-solving, an excellent teacher, supportive, good at communicating orally and in writing, with good organisational skills.
Recent experience of developing innovative teaching practice along with good organisational skills and evidence of appropriate ICT skills is desirable, including a working knowledge of MS Teams. You will be proficient in the use of the advanced features of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Access and Project would also be desirable.
A good understanding of quality standards, health and safety requirements and experience of delivering qualifications in related subjects is also desirable.
