We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Finance Assistant to join the Student Funding Team based in our Falkirk Campus. You will have the ability to work with Learners, External Agencies and staff at all levels in the organisation.
Together with experience of delivering effective customer service, working with spreadsheets and databases, you will have an HNC in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent. Full training on Student Funding will be provided. You will be able to work on your own and as part of a team, possess excellent written and oral communication skills and have excellent attention to detail. You will be capable of working under pressure and have a flexible attitude to ensure tasks are completed.
You will report to the Systems and Management Accountant and your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing Student Funding Applications
- Processing Student Funding Payments
- Dealing with student queries by email, telephone and face to face
- Reviewing absence coverage requests
- Other admin tasks as required
