Assessor - Work Based (Social Services and Healthcare) 39,184 - 43,190 (pro-rata) 0.54 FTE / 19 Hours Based at Falkirk Campus Fixed Term to July 2027 The Health and Social Care department at Forth Valley College is seeking an experienced and motivated Assessor to join our Health and Social Care team to support delivery of a RISE-funded collaborative project. Based at Falkirk campus the successful candidate will work with learners undertaking SVQ Social Services and Healthcare level 2 qualifications, providing assessment, guidance and support to enable candidates to progress successfully through their qualification. Key responsibilities will include planning and undertaking workplace assessment, observing practice, assessing candidate evidence, providing constructive feedback, maintaining accurate assessment records and working closely with employers, workplace mentors and internal quality assurance colleagues. The role will also involve delivering learner workshops, providing individual support and workplace visits and helping candidates to remain on track with their qualification and agreed timescales. The successful candidate should be confident using IT systems and digital learning platforms and have good administrative skills, including maintaining accurate learner records, updating tracking and assessment systems, managing documentation and communicating effectively with learners, employers and colleagues. Applicants should have relevant occupational experience within Health and/or Social Care and hold an appropriate assessor qualification. This is a part time, fixed-term post, funded through the RISE collaborative project.
