The Department of STEM and Construction is seeking an experienced candidate as a Lecturer to teach Electrical Engineering. This is for learners across SCQF levels 5 to 7 in the classroom as well as in a practical and experiential setting.

The role is predominately classroom delivery, combined with practical activities within the units. Candidates with a strong background in electrical engineering will be considered. This will include candidates with and without previous teaching experience.

You will produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and deliver excellent teaching relative to the specialist areas in electrical engineering.

Candidates will have an HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Teaching experience is desirable but not essential; the successful candidate should be prepared to work toward a professional teaching qualification, and Assessor and Verifier qualifications.

Initially, the main role would be delivery of theory elements in Access, NC, HNC and HND electrical engineering including City and Guilds qualifications. Ideally, you will work as part of a team to ensure that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date.

You will also have appropriate ICT skills and possess good knowledge and understanding of health and safety.

The Department of STEM and Construction operates across all three Forth Valley campuses and there may be a requirement to work at our other campuses if required.
