Learning Skills and Resource Assistant 31,132 - 32,897 (pro-rata) 17.5 hours per week, term time (accrued holidays will be pre-allocated to non term time periods) Work Pattern - Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday AM Based at Falkirk Campus Fixed Term to July 2027 This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of professionals who assist and support learners and staff with information enquiries, study skills support and access to learning resources including book and non-book resources, ICT, and flexible learning materials. A key role will be to promote the development of independent learning and information skills amongst college students. The college has three large and busy Learning Resource Centres on its campuses at Falkirk, Stirling and Alloa, each capable of accommodating approximately 60-120 users at any one time. Staff may be required to work across all campuses. You will ideally have experience of working in an LRC as well as experience working one-to-one, helping those who need additional support to develop the skills they need to achieve. You will be customer focused with good written and verbal communication skills, and will be able to work flexibly without supervision and with an organised approach to your work. You should have familiarity with ICT, particularly Microsoft Office; knowledge of assistive technologies would be helpful. You should have an HNC or equivalent in a subject related area such as administration; library; information; community support delivery; communications; resource management or other related subjects.
