We are looking for an individual to join our new team of construction assessors. You must have verifiable, relevant current industry experience, knowledge and understanding of the joinery trade. Please note relevant industry experience, knowledge and understanding of Wood Machining is desirable but not essential.

Reporting to the Assessment Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out workplace assessment and verification of Joinery Apprentices across a range of Scottish based companies. You will be an innovative, confident, flexible, quality driven individual who is commercially astute and has good IT and planning and organisational skills. You will have a professional approach to dealing with external organisations as well as the ability to coach and build a rapport with vocational candidates.

Ideally you will work in or be familiar with the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) awarding body standards and documentation and possess an A1 or L&D9 assessor award or equivalent assessor qualification. You should have knowledge and understanding of vocational qualifications frameworks and assessment procedures and be prepared to travel extensively. Initial guidance, training and support will be given on commencement of employment.
