Location and Dates

Business Intelligence Graduate – Forth Ports Ltd, 100 Ocean Drive, with placement at Port of Leith or Port of Grangemouth. Compensation: £32,000. Start Date: August 2026. Closing Date: Monday 23rd February 2026.

What you will learn

  • Build and maintain high‐quality datasets that support robust, repeatable reporting and analytics

What are we looking for

We want to build on our success and to do this we know that we must continue to invest in our future business leaders. We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical, and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in using data to solve real business problems. You will be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, with a strong desire to develop both your technical skills and your ability to communicate insights clearly and responsibly.

  • A degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. Data Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics) with a minimum 2:1 achieved / expected
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python (or similar BI/analytics tools)
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills; ability to translate business needs into data solutions
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous professional development
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‐paced environment
  • Commercial Awareness & Understanding of supply chains, port operations/logistics are advantageous
  • Full driving licence, valid in the UK due to travel across our Ports
  • The successful candidate must by the start of their employment have permanent permission to work in the UK

  • Screening call: If your application is of interest, our Talent Acquisition team will be in touch for an initial discussion, answer any questions that you may have and invite you to the assessment centre.
  • Online Assessment: We will share a personal profiling assessment for you to complete ahead of the assessment day via email.
  • Confirmation email: We will share an email to confirm what to expect at the assessment centre, anything that you need to prepare and what to bring on the day.
  • Assessment Day: You meet the team and get a great feel for why Forth Ports is for you! This will take place on Friday 27th March.
