Job Responsibilities

  1. Drive straddle carriers to move containers within the Terminal / Port, servicing landside and shipside operations.
  2. Perform manual handling, lashing, and mooring.
  3. Deliver customers\’ cargo to and from vessels in the condition it was received.
  4. Handle cargo, maintain housekeeping, and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  5. Understand and follow computer-delivered information.
  6. Uphold high standards of safety and adhere to operating policies and procedures.
  7. Ensure customer satisfaction in deliveries.
  8. Maintain shift, start, and finish time integrity.
  9. Care for company property and equipment.
  10. Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the line manager.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in ports and with plant machinery is preferred but not necessary; full training will be provided.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude towards port operations.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Flexible with shift patterns.
