Job Responsibilities
- Drive straddle carriers to move containers within the Terminal / Port, servicing landside and shipside operations.
- Perform manual handling, lashing, and mooring.
- Deliver customers\’ cargo to and from vessels in the condition it was received.
- Handle cargo, maintain housekeeping, and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Understand and follow computer-delivered information.
- Uphold high standards of safety and adhere to operating policies and procedures.
- Ensure customer satisfaction in deliveries.
- Maintain shift, start, and finish time integrity.
- Care for company property and equipment.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the line manager.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in ports and with plant machinery is preferred but not necessary; full training will be provided.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude towards port operations.
- Full UK driving license.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
